On 10 JUN 2023, at Head of Post-Graduated Education Falcuty’s invitation, Mrs. Vo Thi Phuong Lan, Chairwoman cum CEO of ASL Logistics participated in the talkshow "Start-Up Innovation". The talkshow aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills for starting & running a business. Especially, in the context of the current difficult and challenging economy, this sharing also has the meaning of inspiring confidence and motivation for the efforts of young entrepreneurs who own small and medium enterprises or  intending to start a business.

Mrs. Phuong Lan shared his self-made start-up story since she was a university student, how to nurture and realize his dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur, building a business start-up plan, calling for investment capital... Why did she decide to start ASL Logistics in 2005 when she was already a sales manager of a large American logistics company, with a monthly income at that time was the dream of many people. A start-up journey with decisiveness and careful planning from determination to improve foreign language skills, studying MBA, building and developing sincere relationships with partner customers... made the students at the talk show have a more specific perspective on starting a business and constantly developing themselves.

At the sharing session, CEO of ASL Logistics helped students distinguish between "Traditional startup" and "Innovative startup", why is Innovative Start-up being mobilized by the state to encourage the young generation of Vietnam today? And how can you start a successful innovation business? According to her: Innovative start-ups began to appear in 2018, which can be understood as providing products and services that make a difference, bringing value to society and the community by initiatives to improve existing ones, or research to put new technologies into production and business applications. Innovative start-up is a start-up with difference, dare to take challenge, providing what customers need, so innovative startup projects is expected to success over 75%. In addition, she also shared that when applying technology, the owner must accept to do parallel between tradition and technology in the early stages, must overcome old habits and obstacles from customers.

To prove this, right at ASL Logistics, the spirit of innovation is being implemented daily for all employees, there are no difficulties and challenges that ASLers wouldn’t dare to do it. Currently, ASL Logistics is the first logistics enterprise to provide 4PL Logistics platform for Heneiken Vietnam with 6 factories nationwide. Accordingly, ASL is a 4PL service provider combining customs agent service for Heineken Vietnam. ASL will perform and manage the import and export operations of the client's company based on a software provided by ASL's technology partner. Platfrom operates based on the workflow model under the task of 3 parties including customers (HVB) – 4PL (ASL) – FWDs. On this platform, customer can track the progress of shipments as well as evaluate KPIs for FWD. She shared that from the beginning, Heneiken's leaders set the topic for many logistics businesses and frankly said that it is not feasible to do it, but to ASL, it is not impossible. Because ASL knows that solving Heneiken's problem has made a difference, outstanding in ASL's service quality capacity to customers, not only for Heneiken but also for many large enterprises that are in need of 4PL Logistics.

At the end of the talkshow, ASL Logistics’s CEO answered all questions of all students about how to start a successful business, how to handle problems arising in the process of running a business and took souvenir photos with all students.
