ASL LOGISTICS ACCOMPANIES THE SEMINAR "GREEN SKILLS TRAINING FOR HUMAN RESOURCES IN LOGISTICS AND SCM" WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF VILOG 2024 EVENT

01 August 2024

In the context of international integration and sustainable development trends, green logistics is increasingly transforming strongly and becoming one of the key development areas of the Logistics industry, bringing dual environmental and economic benefits to businesses, while meeting customer needs and national policies on environmental protection.

Recognizing the urgency of green skills training in the logistics sector, especially in the context of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), within the framework of the VILOG from August 1-3, 2024, the workshop with the theme "Green skills training for human resources in Logistics and SCM - connecting ESG" was successfully held with the goal of connecting businesses and training units in sharing knowledge, experience and the latest trends in green skills and working methods in the global supply chain.

The workshop was attended by many businesses in the Logistics sector with the aim of sharing knowledge and the latest trends in green working skills and approaches in the global supply chain.

With the desire to support businesses in developing the necessary green skills to meet environmental requirements in the logistics sector and enhance their competitiveness to better adapt to the increasingly ESG-focused world market, ASL Logistics continues to accompany the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Training Forum (VLET) - The 4th time within the framework of VILOG 2024 with a workshop co-organized by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI) and the Viet Nam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA).

Mrs. Vo Thi Phuong Lan - Vice President of VLA, General Director of ASL Logistics had a few words to say at the seminar. In recent years, the Logistics and Supply Chain (SCM) industry has witnessed strong growth and has had a profound impact on the global economy, however, along with that growth, there have also been many major challenges regarding the environment, society and governance. Therefore, she hopes that the seminar will provide businesses with useful information and knowledge about the role of ESG and the potentials and solutions to this problem.

Through this, Mrs. Phuong Lan also wishes that through the presentations, discussions and lively exchanges of the speakers, it will bring to the Logistics human resources team a comprehensive perspective and new trends in green skills. This is not only an urgent requirement for development, but also an urgent requirement for the Vietnamese Logistics Industry not to fall behind developed countries.
