Morning on 20/12/2022, at Rex Hotel – HCMC Ho Chi Minh City "LOGISTICS FORUM WITH EUROPE – AMERICA 2022" organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the participation of leaders of the People's Committee, Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities and nearly 200 guests who are representatives of logistics enterprises; manufacturing enterprises, industry associations, trade promotion centers ... at home and abroad attended.

The event aims to provide an overview of the situation of trade exchanges in Europe - America in the past time, prospects and challenges in the coming time, so that businesses better understand logistics in the context after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai affirmed that Logistics is always one of the areas receiving the top attention of the Vietnamese Government.

In order to have a multi-dimensional view of the situation of transport routes to Europe - America at the Forum, the Ministry of Industry and Trade invited domestic and foreign researchers, logistics enterprises, import and export to share about the experiences, opportunities and challenges that Vietnam's logistics industry is currently facing.

Representative of Vietnam Logistics Service Business Association (VLA) – Mrs. Vo Thi Phuong Lan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of American Asia Freight Forwarding Joint Stock Company (ASL Logistics) had her sharing in the forum: "In 2023, it is forecasted that there are many difficulties and challenges for Vietnamese exporters and logistics industry when facing the consequences of inflationary pressures and recession risks of major economies leading to a decline in export orders in Vietnam's key export markets such as the United States and the EU..."

Mrs. Vo Thi Phuong Lan - Chairman of the Board of Directors General Director of My A Freight Forwarding Joint Stock Company (ASL Logistics) shared in the forum.

Since then, she has also analyzed in detail the cost trend of the logistics industry, practical issues that import-export enterprises must pay attention to in the process of working with European - American units, through which flexible and preventative solutions have also been mentioned by her and received a lot of opinions.

In fact, Vietnamese enterprises when exchanging trade with the world in general and with the Europe - America region still face many difficulties and challenges, including problems such as: limited infrastructure, lack of synchronization, overlapping procedures; logistics enterprises lack information; lack of links, technology application is not really advanced.

In order to minimize current difficulties for Vietnamese exporters and logistics enterprises, experts at the Forum said that enterprises need to master customs regulations and procedures to be proactive in customs clearance of import and export goods, solutions to optimize logistics costs to increase competitiveness for export products,  as well as taking advantage of the synchronous connection network of large foreign transport companies to open up new and effective transport channels for Vietnamese exports to the Europe - America region.
