On the morning of February 20, 2024, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) held a conference to review the organization and care activities for the people in the Lunar New Year 2024, and with attendance of the chairpersons of the People's Committees of wards, communes, and towns in 2024. Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee; Mr. Phan Van Mai, Central Committee Member of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairwoman of the HCMC People's Council; Ms. Tran Kim Yen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairwoman of the HCMC Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; along with leaders of districts, towns, Thu Duc City, and chairpersons of the People's Committees of wards, communes, and towns.

In the report summarizing the organization and care activities for the people during Lunar New Year, Deputy Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee Duong Anh Duc stated that the city had focused on and proactively implemented all the regimes and policies of the Party and the State for those who had contributed to the revolution and the poor. During the Tet holiday in 2024, HCMC increased the care level for policy beneficiaries and expanded the care to vulnerable groups in society with a total budget of up to 1.294 trillion dong (an increase of 5.27% compared to the previous year), contributing to ensuring "no poor households are left out of the traditional Tet celebration of the nation."

The conference also witnessed the awarding ceremony of commendations to collectives and individuals for "Excellent achievements in organizing and taking care of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon year 2024" for the people in the city.

Ms. Vo Thi Phuong Lan - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Amerasian Shipping Logistics (ASL Logistics) received the commendation from the HCMC People's Committee.

Honored to be one of the enterprises commended by the HCMC People's Committee for "Excellent achievements in organizing and caring for People during the Lunar New Year 2024," this Tet season, ASL Logistics proactively supported many programs to contribute to the care of the community, such as the "Chuyến Xe Nghĩa Tình" program bringing over 800 workers, students, and laborers back to their hometowns for Tet; the volunteer program "Xuân Gắn Kết – Tết Sẻ Chia" in Lai Thieu Ward, Binh Duong Province,... With the desire to contribute to caring for less fortunate circumstances, ensuring that every family has a fuller Tet holiday, bringing more joy to people every Tet season, welcoming spring.
