27 November 2025
On the morning of November 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Opening Session and Plenary Session of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025, themed “Green Transformation in the Digital Era.”
The Autumn Economic Forum 2025, held from November 24 to 30, is organized by Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the World Economic Forum (WEF). With the theme “Green Transformation in the Digital Era,” the forum features a series of key activities from November 25 to 27 and gathers more than 1,500 domestic and international delegates. The event reflects Vietnam’s strategic vision of integrating the two major drivers of the 21st century—digital transformation and green transition—toward building a smart, sustainable, and deeply integrated economy.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered a speech at the Autumn Economic Forum 2025.
He emphasized Vietnam’s view that all nations today coexist in a shared, interconnected world where no country can unilaterally shape global missions or solve century-defining challenges alone. These global, universal, and comprehensive challenges require global approaches, global cooperation, international solidarity, and a strong commitment to multilateralism.
Based on this perspective, the Prime Minister outlined three consistent and overarching principles guiding Vietnam’s “green transformation in the digital era.” He stressed that all development must place people, citizens, and businesses at the center—as the subjects, goals, drivers, and resources of progress; that Vietnam will not trade environmental protection and social welfare for mere economic growth; and that green transformation must ultimately help people live safer, happier, and more prosperous lives.
Vietnam, he reaffirmed, is committed to the Millennium Development Goals and to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, while remaining open to green capital flows and advanced green technologies from international partners.

Under the theme “Green Transformation in the Digital Era,” this year’s forum discussions and dialogues aim to identify breakthrough solutions to accelerate green growth, promote innovation, and ensure fast, sustainable, and inclusive development—“leaving no one behind in the digital-era green transition.”
The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 would not only be a platform for exchanging ideas and sharing initiatives but also a space for dialogue, building trust, strengthening cooperation, upholding multilateralism, respecting international law, and valuing intelligence, time, and decisiveness in sharing benefits—with the spirit of “giving is lasting.”

The talk show Intelligent Generation NOW highlighted the role of the youth of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam in the theme “Green Transformation in the Digital Era."
According to the program, during the Plenary Session, the forum heard reports and held discussions on: moving toward a smart economy – opportunities and challenges; green transformation in the digital era; smart manufacturing and global supply chains; megacity governance and stakeholder responsibilities; and Vietnam’s exemplary journey in the digital-era green transformation.
