The total investment capital proposed by the City at that time was VND 1,415 billion; including VND 295 billion in construction and installation costs, VND 1,120 billion is the cost of site clearance compensation. Due to some obstacles, the project has not been able to start.

At this submission, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City HCMC proposes to increase the total investment to VND 2,075 billion (an increase of VND 660 billion), the implementation period will be extended by 6 years, the period of 2016 - 2026. In which, construction and installation costs remained the same (VND 295 billion), site clearance compensation costs increased by VND 660 billion, to VND 1,780 billion. The project investor is transferred from District 2 Construction Investment Management Board to Thu Duc City Construction Investment Project Management Board.

Explaining the reasons for the capital increase, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City HCMC said that the capital allocated for compensation and site clearance increased, due to prolonged compensation, support and resettlement, leading to a change in the land price adjustment coefficient for calculating compensation. The increase in total project capital is also caused by the implementation of two additional positions.

Nguyen Thi Dinh road project has an investment scale of urban roads, length 2 km and width of 30 m. The project will build water supply and drainage systems, lights, trees, traffic organization and some other infrastructure works. The project was also adjusted from group B to group A.

HCMC People's Committee HCMC also said that when the project is approved, the authorities will carry out the stage of compensation, support and resettlement for approved cases, complete investment procedures for component projects in 2024. In 2025, the project will be held for bidding and commencement, expected to be completed and put into use after one year of construction.
