ASL LOGISTICS DEPLOYS 4PLs INTEGRATED FORWARDING SERVICE FOR HEINEKEN BEER GROUP IN VIETNAM

From the beginning of 10/2022, ASL Logistics is honored to become the first logistics unit to deploy the first 4PL integrated forwarding service for Heineken Beer Group in Vietnam.

What does 4PL mean? How to operate 4PL serviceat ASL Logisics

4PL (Fourth Party Logistics) is a service that plays a role in consolidating its potential resources and technical facilities with other organizations to design, build and operate comprehensive logistics chain solutions.  4PL is developed on  the 3PL platform, but includes broader and highly responsible activities such as information technology services, and business process management.

 Accordingly, ASL is a  4PL service provider incorporating customs agency services for Heineken Vietnam. ASL will implement and manage the import and export activities of the customer company based on a software provided by ASL's own technology partner. Platfrom operates on a workflow model that is subject to 3 parties including customers (HVB) – 4PL (ASL) – FWDs. On  this platform, Heineken can track the progress of shipments as well as evaluate KPIs for FWD & ASL reported monthly.

What is ASL responsible for providing 4PL services to customers?

Currently, ASL will take care of managing all import and export activities for customers from the time of order information; ASL will receive advice on all legal procedures for importing shipments, consulting HS CODE to support importers with legal procedures related to customs and regulations.; Carry out customs procedures at the border gate and deliver goods to the warehouse on time.

At the same time, ASL will connect with sub-contractors, based on their ability to provide services to distribute shipments to these subcontractors to carry out freight forwarding procedures for Heineken Vietnam.

4PL services help businesses control the supply chain well by coordinating the smooth implementation of logistics solutions from the supply of input materials, distribution of goods to consumers. The 4PL ASL Logistics service chain provides from supplier search, contract negotiation, document preparation, insurance, inspection, classification analysis, packaging organization, warehousing, vehicle rental, customs clearance declaration, etc., receiving goods from the starting point,  delivery to the end point as specified by the shipper, helping customers gain a competitive advantage, focusing resources on their core business.
