On the afternoon of July 19, at Rex Saigon Hotel, the 9th Term Congress (2024 - 2027) of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) was successfully held with the theme "Unifying Strength - Sustainable Development". This was a special event to summarize the 3-year journey (2021 - 2024) of the 8th term and set out the activities direction for the 9th term (2024 -2027). The congress was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mrs. Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Representative of the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations (Ministry of Home Affairs) Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyet and the presence of more than 180 guests representing member enterprises.

The 9th term Congress of Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA)

The Congress focused on electing the VLA Executive Committee for the 9th term (2024-2027) and affirmed the Association's role in providing timely initiatives and support measures to help businesses quickly adapt to economic and political fluctuations, maintain production and business activities to ensure uninterrupted supply chains.

In particular, the development of the members number has grown strongly from 485 to more than 750 with many potential member businesses, an average growth of more than 100 members/year, showing that the Logistics industry is still constantly expanding and developing despite facing many challenges.

In the 8th term, the number of VLA members grew strongly from 458 to more than 750 with many potential member businesses, increasing by an average of more than 100 members/year.

Simultaneously, the 9th Congress (2024-2027) is also an opportunity to share, answer questions and propose solutions for businesses when the logistics service industry is currently going through a difficult period due to the impact of the global economic recession. Not only recognizing the efforts in overcoming the difficult period of the pandemic and the post-Covid period, this is also the time for businesses to strive, unite, persevere and have timely initiatives and support measures to confront the fluctuations and challenges of the Middle East and Red Sea. The Association has made great contributions to supporting businesses in policy criticism, with many specific recommendations to resolve and remove difficulties for businesses, comments and amendments to the Decree/Circular on Customs procedures.

The 9th term Congress summarized the results of organizing trade promotion activities, supporting investment connections for businesses and contributing to promoting cooperation and business.

This Congress was held with the main objective of electing the Executive Committee of VLA for the 9th term (2024-2027) and rewarding individuals and businesses who are exemplary members with outstanding contributions in the 8th term (2021-2024). With the trust of the current Executive Committee and members of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of ASL Logistics, Mrs. Vo Thi Phuong Lan, was honored to be voted as the new Vice President of the Association. At the same time, ASL Logistics was also honored as an Outstanding Member for its energetic and positive contributions, devoting to enhancing the value and position of the Vietnamese Logistics industry in the international arena in the 8th term (2021-2024).

Chairwoman of the Board of Directors - General Director of ASL Logistics - Mrs. Vo Thi Phuong Lan is one of 19 members elected to the Executive Committee for the 2024 - 2027 term to hold the position of New Vice Chairwoman.

ASL Logistics received the Outstanding Member Enterprise Award for its exceptional contributions and achievements in Term VIII (2021-2024).
